2. Fax/Voicemail:-

You have TWO options here, one for mainly intended for international clients, and the other mainly meant for UK-based customers.

I am using two faxing/voice messaging services, one based in Seattle, North America, and the other, here in the UK.

Here are those numbers:

(US/international) 1-206-984-4460

(UK) 07092-151261

Both of these numbers can accept voice messages or faxes. (I will, however, be sending faxes from 1-206-984-4460).

In both cases you dial the number, and are given the option of leaving a message or sending a fax.

In theory both of these numbers can be used by anyone from any country, but because the universe of international dialling codes can be a bit daunting and confusing(!), I have opted to use two numbers.

To dial the US number, you dial as you would any US-based fax number. Here's how the faxing company describe it:-

"Someone dialing the number, from within North America, would simply dial the number, using dialing combination 1-206-984-4460 (Unless they were within the Local 206 area themselves, in which case, they would omit the 1-206, and only dial 984-4460).

Someone Dialing your message number from outside North America, would dial in the same manner, as they would any International Call.

[So to dial from e.g., the] UK to North America...the International Prefix would be the same, followed by the 1-206-984-4460."

(Back to Guitar Scribe) To be specific, if you are from the UK, you dial:

00-1-206-984-4460

To dial the UK number, from the UK, you just dial 'as is':-

07092 151261.

For international enquirers [your international Prefix to dial out of your country], followed by 447092 151261.

Please note, the UK-based number is not guaranteed to work in all countries (though it is in the UK), but the US-based number is.

That is, UK clients can get through on 00-1-206-984-4460, but I'm not sure if international/US users can get through on 447092 151261.

If you are leaving a voicemail message, please follow these guidelines (in any order):-

wait for the announcer to give the beep,

then leave a short message, including:-

a) your name;

b) reciprocal contact details;

c) the general nature of your enquiry;

d) the specifics of your question.

Please be brief, and try to speak clearly.
